Trameta Versicolor (Turkey Tail) has been used for thousands of years as medicinal mushrooms in China, Japan, and Korea. The Japanese have long used Trametes Versicolor as a folk remedy for cancer. In traditional Chinese Medicine, Turkey Tail is used to clear dampness, reduce phlegm, heal pulmonary disorders, strengthen the stomach and spleen, increase energy, and benefit people with chronic diseases. Chinese medical doctors consider it a useful treatment for infection and/or inflammation of the upper respiratory, urinary, and digestive tracts. It is also regarded as a curative to chronic active hepatitis and is used to treat general weakness of the immune system. Trametes Versicolor has the distinction of being the mushroom from which one of the world’s leading anticancer drugs, Krestin, is derived. PSK (Polysaccharide-K) is an extract from the mushroom and is the chief ingredient in Krestin. It is 1-3 beta-glucan, the type of polysaccharide found in medicinal mushrooms; but it is bound to a protein and is especially beneficial to the immune system. Modern studies have shown that it improves survival rates and acts as an immune modulator with immune-stimulating and anti-tumor properties. It can also enhance the effects of chemotherapy cancer treatment and reduce the side effects of radiation therapy. It is often prescribed for breast, colon, lung, stomach, and esophageal cancer and has no side effects. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved a clinical trial for a turkey tail extract, allowing patients with advanced prostate cancer to take it in combination with conventional chemotherapy. Another trial pending FDA approval will test the effects of taking the extract along with a vaccine treatment in women with breast cancer.

INSTRUCTION

Dry powder:  One full measuring spoon of each extract daily dissolved in hot water. You can add honey or syrup for better taste. 

One 60-gram bottle per month.

Additional recommendations:

Dissolve 500-1000 mg of vitamin C in a big glass of water and take it together with mushrooms. In case of stomach problem with vitamin C (hyperacidity) - exclude vitamin and take mushrooms 30 minutes before a meal.

Try to eliminate legumes and dairy products for an hour before and after taking the mushrooms. These products bind with polysaccharides in mushrooms and prevent their absorption of the body.

To enhance the effect, add to daily ration one-two tablespoon of melted fresh ginger root.
